Calumet CALSACPL52 is a 52 mm circular polarising (CPL) camera lens filter designed to reduce reflections and enhance colour saturation. Built with Japanese AGC optical glass and a multi-coated surface, the filter provides high light transmission and protects the front element of your lens while allowing precise control over polarisation. The ultra-slim aircraft-aluminium frame minimises vignetting on wide-angle lenses and the serrated ring and tabs allow easy adjustment and removal. The package includes one black/transparent CPL filter and a protective storage box for transport and safe storage.

How to use

Screw the CALSACPL52 onto a lens with a matching 52 mm filter thread until snug; avoid overtightening. Rotate the outer ring to set the desired polarisation effect while observing the viewfinder or live view; the effect is strongest at a 90° angle to the sun. The filter can be left on the lens as a protective element, or removed and stored in its protective box when not required. For stacking with additional filters or lens accessories, use the double-threading to attach compatible items securely.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use the CPL filter when shooting skies, bodies of water, wet foliage or through glass. To avoid vignetting on very wide-angle lenses, prefer the ultra-slim frame and check for mechanical interference after mounting. Clean the filter with a soft blower or microfiber cloth and, if necessary, a suitable lens cleaning solution to preserve the hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings.
