Calumet CALSASMC52 is a 52 mm ultraviolet (UV) camera lens filter that reduces UV haze and protects the front element of compatible lenses. Constructed with Japanese AGC optical glass and a slim aerospace-grade aluminium frame, this UV SMC Ultra Slim filter features 28 multilayer coatings and delivers high light transmission for clear, low-reflection images while adding a durable protective layer to your lens.

Advantages

The filter uses 28 coating layers (14 on each side) including hydrophobic, oleophobic, scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatments, which together provide water and grease resistance, easier cleaning and reduced reflections. How to use

Screw the Calumet CALSASMC52 filter onto the front thread of a lens with a matching 52 mm diameter. Confirm the lens thread size (marked with the Φ symbol on the lens or cap) before mounting. Tighten the filter gently by hand until secure; use the small tabs on the frame to assist removal when needed. The filter can remain mounted during shooting to protect the lens or be added when shooting in bright outdoor conditions where UV reduction improves clarity. For multi-filter setups, use the double-threading to attach additional compatible filters or accessories.

Usage recommendations
