The Cambium Networks XV3-8X00A00-EU is an enterprise-grade Wi‑Fi 6 access point that supports dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation with a maximum data rate of 4804 Mbit/s. This software-defined, multi-radio AP includes dedicated scanning and BLE radios, WPA3 secure public access, application control and 802.3bz Ethernet to meet the needs of high-density deployments in enterprise, education, retail and public venues.
The XV3-8 features a five-radio architecture that delivers high capacity and density while reducing the number of devices required. It provides seamless and fast roaming, automatic RF optimization and interference avoidance, plus a dedicated scanning radio for continuous monitoring and security reporting. The radio configuration can operate as two 5 GHz 4×4 plus one 2.4 GHz 4×4 or be reconfigured into a single 5 GHz 8×8 mode without firmware changes, enabling optimized performance for legacy 802.11ac clients and for Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) devices. Management is supported via Cambium XMS cloud or cnMaestro cloud and on-premises platforms.
Install the XV3-8 according to site mounting instructions and connect to the network using the provided RJ-45 ports and PoE-capable switch or injector that supports the device power requirements. Configure radio modes and SSIDs in the chosen management platform (Cambium XMS or cnMaestro) and apply security settings such as WPA3 or 802.1x RADIUS authentication. Use automatic RF optimization and the dedicated scanning radio to monitor network health and adjust channel and power settings as required for high-density coverage.
For high-density environments, deploy XV3-8 units with overlapping coverage planning and use the 8×8 5 GHz mode when many Wi‑Fi 6 clients are present; where legacy 802.11ac clients dominate, use the dual 5 GHz 4×4 configuration to increase capacity. Regularly monitor the scan radio reports and enable automatic RF optimization to maintain performance and minimize interference.
