How to use

Screw the required PROND EX filter onto the front thread of a 67 mm lens or stack multiple filters to reach the desired total density. Use PROND EX 8 for reducing 3 stops when shooting wide open in bright daylight or for portraits with shallow depth of field. Use PROND EX 64 to obtain 6 stops reduction for motion blur effects during the day. Use PROND EX 1000 to achieve 10 stops reduction for very long exposures and strong motion smoothing (e.g., blurring waves or erasing moving people). When combining filters, add their stop values together (for example PROND EX 8 + PROND EX 64 ≈ ND500 effect; PROND EX 8 + PROND EX 1000 ≈ ND8000 effect).

Usage recommendations

For video work where camera base ISO is high (for example S‑Log modes), choose the ND density that allows shutter speed to match the frame rate (shutter ≈ 1/(2×frame rate)). In bright daylight, test exposures after attaching the filter and use a tripod for long exposures. Avoid overtightening filters and store them in their protective cases when not in use.
