The Canon F-715SG Scientific Calculator is a compact, pocket-sized calculator designed for study and exam use. It features a large 2-line LCD that displays entries on the top line and results on the bottom, supports up to 16-digit internal calculations and stores up to 17 memories. The body and hard case are partly made from recycled Canon plastic materials, and the device uses a reliable dual power source (solar plus replaceable battery). Three colour variations are available.

A comprehensive set of 250 functions covers general mathematics, trigonometry, statistics, physics and engineering tasks. How to use

Turn the calculator on using the slide switch on the hard cover or the power key. Enter expressions on the top line; results appear on the bottom line. Use the memory keys to store and recall up to 17 calculations. When lighting conditions are sufficient, the calculator operates from solar power; a replaceable battery provides backup power and a low-battery indicator warns when replacement is needed. The device will automatically power off after seven minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life.

Usage recommendations

For exam and study situations, keep the hard cover closed when not in use to protect the keypad and display. Use the solar power option where possible to extend battery life and replace the battery promptly when the low-battery indicator is shown.
