Product information

Description

Canon EOS R6 Mark III with RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM is a full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera kit designed for photographers and videographers who need a balance of image quality and operational speed. The camera features a 32.5 MP CMOS sensor with a maximum still image resolution of 6960 × 4640 pixels, a fastest shutter speed of 1/16000 s, native ISO sensitivity up to 102400, and a 3.0" touchscreen. The kit includes a versatile RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM zoom lens and offers built-in Wi‑Fi, an electronic viewfinder, and video recording capability up to 6960 × 3672 pixels. The body weight is approximately 609 g and the finish is black.

Advantages

The combination of a 32.5 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and fast continuous shooting supports detailed stills and rapid action capture while keeping file sizes manageable. Built-in image stabilisation and lens optical stabilization extend handheld shooting capability, and the camera’s fast shutter and broad ISO range enable flexible shooting in varied lighting conditions. Integrated connectivity options such as Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth simplify image transfer and remote control. The included RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens provides a practical focal range for general-purpose photography.

Suitable for

  • Event and sports photography requiring fast continuous shooting and reliable autofocus
  • Landscape and travel photography benefiting from a 24–105mm zoom range
  • Portrait and lifestyle shoots where high-resolution stills and eye/face tracking are useful
  • Hybrid photo and video workflows including high-resolution video capture

Key specifications

  • Maximum still resolution: 6960 × 4640 pixels
  • Video capture up to 6960 × 3672 pixels
  • Shutter speed range: up to 1/16000 s (fastest), slowest 30 s
  • ISO sensitivity: up to 102400 (native)
  • Continuous shooting: high-speed burst capability (up to 40 fps as specified by manufacturer materials)
  • Stabilisation: up to 8.5 stops combined (camera and lens dependent)
  • Autofocus: Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with face/eye tracking
  • Viewfinder and display: electronic viewfinder and 3.0" touchscreen
  • Connectivity: Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, USB Type-C, HDMI
  • Memory card support: dual card slots (CFexpress and UHS-II SD compatible)
  • Power: Lithium‑Ion battery
  • Included lens: RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM (zoom range for general-purpose shooting)
  • Weight: approximately 609 g (body with no additional accessories)

How to use

Attach the RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens to the camera body by aligning the mount marks and rotating until it locks. Power on the camera and set basic shooting parameters such as image quality (RAW/JPEG), shutter speed, aperture and ISO or select an automatic exposure mode. Use the touchscreen or viewfinder to compose and the multi‑function controls to adjust focus modes, drive modes and stabilisation settings. For video, select the desired resolution and frame rate, check audio input levels if using an external microphone, and use the touchscreen or external controls to start and stop recording.

Usage recommendations

For best results in low light, use a combination of appropriate ISO settings and in-camera stabilisation or a tripod. When shooting fast action, set continuous autofocus and a high frame-rate drive mode. Use the RF 24-105mm lens at wider focal lengths for landscapes and travel, and longer focal lengths for tighter framing of subjects. Regularly update camera firmware and use high-speed CFexpress or UHS-II SD cards to handle large still and video files.

Lens system

Lens mount interface: A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. Focal length range: Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′).

Total megapixels: A megapixel (MP or Mpx) is one million pixels, and is a term used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but also to express the number of image sensor elements of digital cameras or the number of display elements of digital displays. For example, a camera that makes a 2048 × 1536 pixel image typically uses a few extra rows and columns of sensor elements and is commonly said to have "3.2 megapixels" or "3.4 megapixels", depending on whether the number reported is the "effective" or the "total" pixel count (as opposed to the 2048 × 1536 = 3,145,728 finished image pixels).
