Canon RF II Rear Lens Cap for RF and RF-S Mount Lenses
Canon RF II Rear Lens Cap for RF and RF-S Mount Lenses
The Canon RF II rear lens cap is a specialized accessory engineered to safeguard the rear element of your RF and RF-S mount lenses. By providing a robust barrier against dust, dirt, moisture, and accidental scratches, this cap ensures that your optical glass remains in pristine condition during storage and transport. Its refined construction offers a reliable solution for photographers who prioritize the longevity and performance of their camera equipment.
The primary benefit of the Canon RF II rear lens cap is its enhanced mechanical design, which features three distinct attachment points. These points are specifically engineered to align with the red bayonet mark found on compatible lenses, facilitating a more intuitive and secure connection compared to previous versions. The improved locking mechanism allows for quick and effortless installation or removal, ensuring that your lenses are protected instantly without unnecessary friction or misalignment.
This rear lens cap is exclusively designed for Canon RF and RF-S mount lenses. It is not compatible with EF, EF-S, or EF-M mount lenses, nor will it fit lenses from other manufacturers. Attempting to force this cap onto an incompatible mount may result in damage to the lens or the cap itself.
To attach the cap, align the three tabs on the inner rim of the cap with the corresponding grooves on the rear of your RF or RF-S lens. Ensure the alignment mark on the cap corresponds with the red bayonet index on the lens mount. Once positioned, rotate the cap clockwise until you feel a secure click, indicating that it is locked in place. To remove, simply rotate the cap counter-clockwise and lift it away from the lens.
Regularly inspect the interior of the lens cap for debris or dust accumulation. If the cap becomes dirty, clean it with a soft, dry cloth to ensure that no particles are introduced to the rear lens element when the cap is attached. Always store your lenses with the rear cap secured when they are not mounted on the camera body.
