Rotary Hammer CAT DX26 800 W 1200 RPM SDS Plus
The CAT DX26 800 W Rotary Hammer combines a robust 800 W motor with SDS Plus compatibility and a maximum no-load speed of 1200 RPM to deliver reliable drilling and light chiselling performance. Designed to handle concrete, masonry and other construction materials, this tool offers an impact energy of 3 J and a maximum concrete drilling capacity of 26 mm while maintaining a compact weight of 3.2 kg for easier handling on job sites.
The rotary hammer provides a balance of power and portability, enabling sustained drilling in dense materials while limiting operator fatigue thanks to its moderate weight. SDS Plus bit retention simplifies bit changes and improves axial impact transfer. The 3 J impact energy delivers effective percussive force for drilling anchors and through-holes in concrete, and the 1200 RPM top speed helps maintain reasonable hole advance rates in softer substrates.
Select an SDS Plus bit suitable for the diameter required and insert it into the tool until it locks. Mark the drilling position, secure workpieces if necessary, and use the auxiliary handle for stable control. Start drilling at a low speed to establish the hole, then increase to the required speed while applying steady, even pressure—do not force the tool. For chiselling tasks switch to the appropriate mode or accessory and maintain a stable stance to control rebound. After use, allow the motor to cool before performing bit changes or storage.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling concrete or masonry. For extended drilling in hard concrete, use carbide-tipped SDS Plus bits and allow short cooling intervals to preserve tool life. Maintain the chuck and ventilation openings free of dust and inspect accessories for wear before each use.
