Masking panel CAYMON BP112T — 19" blanking panel for rack units
CAYMON BP112T is a 19" blanking panel designed to occupy unused rack space and improve airflow management in standard 19" equipment racks. The panel offers a flat, unobtrusive front finish that helps maintain a tidy rack appearance, reduces the entry of dust into the cabinet, and guides cooling airflow to active equipment. It is suitable for a variety of installations including studio, broadcast, server and AV racks where unused units need to be closed off.
The blanking panel provides a simple, low-profile solution to close vacant rack units, enhancing ventilation efficiency by directing airflow through populated equipment. Its flat steel construction delivers a consistent front appearance and helps limit dust ingress into the rack interior. The panel is easy to install and remove, enabling flexible rack layout changes without leaving open gaps that can disrupt cooling performance.
Install the blanking panel in any unused 1U position by aligning the panel with the front rack posts and fastening it with standard rack screws. For multiple contiguous empty units, install additional panels to cover the full unused height. The panel can be removed quickly when equipment is added or relocated; keep screws accessible for easy reinstallation. Regularly inspect the panel and surrounding rack area for dust build-up and clean with a soft cloth as needed.
To maximise cooling efficiency, fill all unused front positions with blanking panels to prevent hot air recirculation and to channel cool air through active equipment. Use compatible rack screws and ensure panels are securely fastened to maintain proper airflow and dust protection.
