Grout CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic elastic waterproof, grey, 2 kg
CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic elastic waterproof grout in grey is a ready-mixed joint filler supplied in a 2 kg package for tiled surfaces that require flexibility and high moisture resistance. Formulated for wet zones such as bathrooms, kitchens and balconies, this grout is intended to create durable, water-repellent seams that help reduce water penetration and inhibit mold growth while accommodating slight substrate movements.
The grout combines elasticity with waterproofing properties, providing a flexible joint that adapts to small structural or temperature-related movements without cracking. Its grey color offers a neutral finish suitable for many tile styles. The product is pre-formulated for ease of application and delivers consistent texture and adherence to ceramic and porcelain tiles in wet environments.
This grout is formulated for tiled joints and is not intended for structural repairs, filling large gaps, or replacing flexible sealants in movement joints designed for wide expansion. For joints that require very large movement accommodation or for substrates with major cracking, a dedicated elastic silicone or polyurethane sealant may be more appropriate. Also avoid using the grout on highly textured or irregular tile edges where full contact cannot be achieved.
Ensure tile surfaces and joints are clean, dry and free of loose material, grease or sealant residues. Apply the grout with a suitable rubber float, pressing the material firmly into the joints and removing excess from tile faces as you go. After initial skin formation, wipe tile surfaces with a damp sponge to remove residues and shape the joint profile. Allow the grout to cure according to ambient temperature and humidity before exposing the surface to water or heavy use. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on cure times and surface preparation for best results.
For durable results, apply grout at room temperature and avoid exposing the freshly grouted surface to direct water or heavy traffic until fully cured. Regular cleaning and appropriate ventilation in wet zones will help maintain the grout's waterproofing performance and reduce the risk of mold development.
