Grout CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic flexible waterproof grout, grey, 5 kg
CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic flexible waterproof grout in grey, 5 kg is formulated for filling and sealing joints between ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles as well as panels. The mortar creates a flexible, water-resistant joint that maintains elasticity under typical movement and temperature changes, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications where moisture exposure is expected.
The grey CE 40 Aquastatic grout combines flexibility and water resistance to minimize cracking and joint water penetration. Its composition is designed to adhere to common tile substrates while allowing slight movement without loss of integrity. Supplied in a 5 kg package, it is ready to mix for medium-scale repairs or installations and is suitable for use on floors and walls in wet and damp environments.
This product may not be appropriate for joints exposed to heavy mechanical abrasion or continuous direct load where a cement-based hardwearing grout is required. It is not intended for structural movement joints that require specialized sealants or for areas where chemical resistance beyond standard household detergents is needed.
Mix the dry powder with clean water according to the manufacturer's recommended ratio until achieving a homogeneous, lump-free paste. Apply the grout evenly into joints using a rubber float or grout trowel, pressing firmly to fill the joint completely. Remove excess material from tile surfaces before initial drying and smooth joints as required. Allow the grout to cure for the time indicated by the manufacturer before exposing to water or heavy use.
For best results, prepare substrates by cleaning and removing loose grout or contaminants. Use consistent mixing and application techniques and follow curing times; in exterior or cold conditions allow extended curing. Test colour on a small area if exact shade matching is critical.
