Grout CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic waterproof elastic, Manhattan shade, 2 kg
Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic is an elastic, waterproof grout supplied in a 2 kg pack in the Manhattan shade. It is formulated to fill and seal joints between ceramic, porcelain, natural stone tiles and panels while accommodating slight movement and providing protection against water penetration and staining. The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor environments where flexible joint sealing and stain resistance are required.
The grout combines elasticity and waterproofing to maintain integrity of tile joints during thermal or structural movement. Its formulation resists water penetration and staining, making it appropriate for areas exposed to moisture. The Manhattan shade offers a neutral, warm grey tone that blends with a variety of tile colours while minimizing visible dirt. Packaged in a 2 kg container, it is convenient for small to medium repair and finishing tasks.
This grout is intended for joints where slight movement is expected; it is not a structural adhesive and should not be used to bond or replace adhesive layers. For joints with very large movement or where heavy mechanical loads are present, a specialized flexible sealant or elastomeric joint filler may be more appropriate. Also avoid using this product on substrates that are not stable, or on surfaces subject to oil contamination without proper cleaning and priming.
Ensure joints and surrounding tiles are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and loose material. Apply the grout into the joint using a suitable spatula or rubber float, pressing firmly to fully fill the gap. Remove excess material from the tile surface with a damp sponge before the grout skin forms, shaping the joint as required. Allow the grout to cure according to the manufacturer’s recommendations before exposing the surface to water or heavy traffic.
Store the product in a dry place at moderate temperature. Apply in recommended temperature ranges and protect freshly filled joints from rain, frost and direct sunlight until fully cured. For best results, follow the manufacturer’s technical data sheet for curing times and compatibility with sealing or maintenance products.
