Sanitary Silicone Sealant CERESIT MicroProtect CS 25 white 280 ml
CERESIT MicroProtect CS 25 sanitary silicone sealant in white is a ready-to-use, acetoxy-cure silicone formulated for sealing and finishing joints in wet areas. Supplied in a 280 ml cartridge, it creates flexible, watertight seals around tiles, sinks, bathtubs, shower enclosures and sanitary fixtures. The product is designed to resist moisture and visible mold growth, maintaining adhesion and flexibility in contact with ceramic, glazed surfaces, glass and many common sanitary materials.
The sealant offers long-lasting elasticity and reliable water resistance suitable for bathroom and kitchen environments. Its mold-resistant formulation reduces visible fungal discoloration in joints exposed to moisture. Easy to apply from a standard caulking gun, it smooths to a neat finish and adheres well to non-porous surfaces without additional primers in typical sanitary applications.
This acetoxy-cure silicone is intended for non-structural sealing and joint finishing; it is not designed for load-bearing structural bonding. It may not adhere properly to some porous or contaminated surfaces without appropriate surface preparation or a suitable primer. The white colour is intended for visible sanitary joints, but colour matching with aged or stained surfaces may be imperfect.
Prepare surfaces by ensuring they are clean, dry and free from grease, dust or old sealant. Cut the cartridge tip to the required bead size, insert into a caulking gun and apply a continuous bead into the joint. Tool the sealant within the skinning time to achieve a smooth finish and ensure good contact with both joint faces. Allow the sealant to fully cure according to humidity and temperature conditions before exposing to water; typical curing proceeds from the surface inward.
For durable results, apply at ambient temperatures recommended by the manufacturer, ensure joints are correctly sized for expected movement, and allow full cure before regular water exposure. Replace damaged or aged sealant rather than overcoating to maintain adhesion and mould resistance.
