Sanitary Silicone Sealant CERESIT CS 9 transparent 280 ml
Sanitary Silicone Sealant CERESIT CS 9 transparent 280 ml
CERESIT CS 9 transparent sanitary silicone sealant in a 280 ml cartridge is formulated for sealing joints and connections in bathrooms, kitchens and other sanitary areas. The transparent formulation creates a discreet, flexible and waterproof seal around sinks, bathtubs, showers, ceramic tiles and sanitary fixtures, reducing the risk of water ingress and limiting conditions that promote mould growth. The product is designed for use on glazed and non-porous surfaces where a watertight, elastic joint is required.
The sealant provides long-lasting elasticity and adheres well to ceramics, glazed tiles and many non-porous materials, forming a continuous waterproof barrier. Its transparent appearance keeps joints visually unobtrusive while maintaining flexibility to accommodate minor movement. The product resists moisture and helps to inhibit mould formation in wet environments. Supplied in a standard 280 ml cartridge, it is compatible with common caulking guns for controlled application.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and old sealant residues before application. Cut the cartridge tip to the required bead size and apply with a compatible caulking gun, pressing the sealant firmly into the joint to ensure full contact with both sides. Smooth the bead with a suitable tool or a wetted finger within the product's skin-formation time to achieve a neat finish. Allow the sealant to cure undisturbed for the time specified by the manufacturer before exposing to water.
For best results, use on clean, non-porous substrates and avoid application at temperatures below the manufacturer’s recommended range. Provide adequate ventilation during curing and remove any excess uncured sealant with an appropriate solvent. If mould or heavy contamination is present, treat the area before sealing and replace degraded old sealant to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance.
