Joint Mortar Ceresit CE40/59 2 kg – tile grout for joints and seams
Ceresit CE40/59 joint mortar in a 2 kg package is a ready-to-use tile grout formulated for filling joints and seams between ceramic, porcelain and similar tiles. The product is intended for even finishing of tiled surfaces, providing a uniform seam appearance and resistance to everyday wear. Its ready-mixed consistency simplifies application and reduces the need for on-site mixing, making it suitable for small repair jobs and finishing works in interior environments.
The grout comes pre-mixed for immediate use, ensuring consistent texture and color across joints. It provides durable filling of seams and resists routine mechanical stresses typical for indoor tiled areas. The formulation produces clean, compact seams that are easy to maintain and help preserve the appearance of tiled surfaces over time.
This product is designed primarily for indoor use and may not be suitable for exterior applications subject to severe weather, freeze-thaw cycles or constant exposure to standing water. For very wide or deep joints, or when a structural flexible sealant is required (for movement joints), a different specialized product should be chosen.
Ensure tile surfaces and joints are clean, dry and free of dust or loose material before application. Apply the ready-to-use mortar into the joint using a grout float or a suitable spatula, pressing the material firmly to completely fill the seam. Remove excess grout from the tile faces promptly with a damp sponge, taking care not to wash out the joint. Allow the grout to harden according to ambient conditions before light use; final curing time depends on temperature and humidity.
Use protective gloves and avoid applying the grout at temperatures close to freezing or on excessively wet surfaces. For consistent results, work on small sections at a time and clean tile faces immediately after application. For movement joints or outdoor installations, select a product specifically designed for those conditions.
