Grout Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic flexible waterproof grout, silver-gray, 5 kg
Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic flexible waterproof grout in silver-gray (5 kg) is formulated for jointing ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles on floors and walls. The grout combines elasticity and water repellence to reduce the risk of cracking and staining in wet and high-traffic areas. Supplied as a ready-to-mix powder, it cures to form a durable, slightly flexible joint that resists moisture ingress and supports long-term performance in bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and terraces.
The product provides flexible, crack-resistant joints due to its elastic formulation, while a water-repellent composition improves resistance to moisture and staining. Its silver-gray shade offers a neutral finish that complements a wide range of tile colours and patterns. The 5 kg package size is suitable for small to medium projects and allows precise mixing proportions for consistent results. The grout is compatible with ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles and can be used on both walls and floors.
This grout is not intended for use where structural movement exceeds the elastic capabilities of flexible grouts, such as large expansion joints or where substrate movement is extreme. It is not a replacement for specialized sealants required for wide movement joints, building expansion gaps or joints exposed to constant heavy mechanical abrasion.
Prepare a clean, stable substrate and ensure tile spacers are removed from joints before grouting. Mix the powder with water following the manufacturer's recommended water ratio to obtain a homogeneous, lump-free mortar. Apply the grout using a rubber float, pressing material firmly into the joints and removing excess grout from the tile surface. After initial set, clean the tiles with a damp sponge and refine joint profiles as required. Allow the grout to cure fully according to ambient temperature and humidity conditions before exposing to water or heavy traffic.
For best results, follow the mixing ratios and application instructions provided by the manufacturer, use consistent joint widths, and protect newly grouted areas from rapid drying or water exposure during curing. When grouting natural stone, perform a preliminary compatibility test to avoid potential staining.
