Sealant CERESIT CS25 sanitary silicone, chocolate, 280 ml
CERESIT CS25 sanitary silicone in chocolate tone is a 280 ml cartridge sealant developed for sealing sanitary joints and connections in bathrooms, kitchens and other wet areas. Formulated to create a waterproof, flexible joint that adheres to common non-porous surfaces, this sanitary silicone is intended for use around sinks, bathtubs, showers, tiles and plumbing fixtures where a durable sanitary seal is needed.
The product provides reliable waterproofing and remains permanently elastic to accommodate small movements in joints. It features resistance to mould and mildew growth, reducing the need for frequent maintenance in damp environments. The chocolate colour allows for a discrete finish on darker tiles and fixtures, helping joints blend with surrounding materials. The cartridge format is compatible with standard caulking guns for controlled application.
This sanitary silicone is formulated for non-porous and glazed surfaces; it may not adhere adequately to very porous substrates such as untreated concrete, unpainted wood or certain types of natural stone without appropriate priming. It is not intended for structural glazing, load-bearing joints, or continuous immersion in water where specialised marine or pool sealants are required.
Prepare surfaces by ensuring they are clean, dry and free from grease, dust and old sealant. Cut the cartridge tip to the required bead size and fit a standard caulking gun. Apply an even bead of silicone into the joint, then tool the sealant within the product’s tack-free time to obtain a smooth finish and good contact with both joint sides. Allow the sealant to cure fully according to ambient temperature and humidity before exposing it to water.
Apply at recommended ambient temperatures and ensure proper ventilation during curing. For best mould resistance, keep joints clean and perform periodic inspection; remove and replace the sealant if signs of deep contamination or loss of adhesion appear. Use a suitable primer on difficult substrates according to manufacturer guidance.
