CERESIT CE 40 Aquastatic elastic waterproof grout in jasmine color is a ready-to-mix joint filler supplied in a 2 kg pack. Formulated for use with ceramic, porcelain and many natural stone tiles, this grout provides an elastic, water-resistant barrier that helps prevent cracking and staining in wet and damp environments. The jasmine shade is designed to deliver a consistent, color-stable finish that complements light and neutral tile schemes in bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor terraces.
The grout combines elasticity with long-term water resistance to accommodate minor substrate movement without developing cracks. Its formulation resists moisture penetration and reduces the likelihood of mold and efflorescence in tiled joints. Applied correctly, the product yields a smooth, uniform surface with good color retention and easy-to-clean properties, suitable for frequently used wet areas.
This grout is intended for tiled joints and may not be suitable where very large structural movement is expected or where joints exceed recommended widths for tile grouts. It is not specified for use as a structural sealant or for continuous immersion applications where specialized epoxy or cementitious waterproofing systems are required.
Mix the powdered grout with clean water according to the manufacturer’s instructions to obtain a homogeneous, lump-free paste. Apply the grout into properly cleaned and prepared joints using a rubber float or grout squeegee, pressing firmly to fill the joint completely. Remove excess material from the tile surface and shape joints as required. Allow initial setting for the period recommended on the product instructions, then perform final cleaning with a damp sponge to remove haze. Ensure adequate curing time before exposing the surface to water.
For best results, apply grout at recommended temperatures and protect newly grouted joints from direct water exposure until fully cured. Clean tools and excess grout promptly after use. For areas with heavy chemical exposure or permanent submersion, consider a product specifically formulated for those conditions.
