Lineman's pliers Cimco 10 0336
The Lineman's pliers Cimco 10 0336 are designed for durable, professional use in electrical and general trades. Made from high-alloy tool steels with a PU plastic handle, these 180 mm (7 in) pliers combine hardened cutting blades, corrosion-resistant surfaces and ergonomic two-component grips. The Cimco Diamant-Plus production process and quality checks ensure consistent material purity, mechanical strength and dielectric insulation for safe operation up to 1000 V (VDE).
High-alloy steels and oil-bath hardening deliver longevity under heavy use, while additional induction hardening of the cutting edges (approx. 64 HRC) ensures reliable cutting performance, including piano wire. A near‑playless joint gives smooth opening and closing, and functional conical gripping surfaces with defined serration provide secure handling of common workpieces. The two-component PU handle offers good grip, skin tolerance and resistance to sweat, oil, salt water and many chemicals. The pliers are manufactured and tested according to IEC and VDE standards, including individual dielectric testing in water at 10,000 V AC.
Use the Cimco 10 0336 lineman's pliers to grip, bend or cut conductors and small parts. For cutting, position the wire between the induction-hardened blades and apply steady hand pressure, taking advantage of the favourable transmission ratio to reduce force. For electrical work, always verify the circuit is de-energised before contact or rely on proper live-working procedures; the 1000 V insulation protects against contact but does not replace safe working practices. Clean and dry the tool after use and store it in a dry place to preserve the insulation and steel surfaces.
The pliers are suitable for work on live circuits only within the limits of the stated 1000 V VDE insulation and when regular inspections confirm insulation integrity. Do not use the tool if the insulating handle is damaged, and avoid exposing the handles to sharp chemicals or excessive heat that could impair dielectric properties.
