Building set COBI 18E Super Hornet

The COBI 18E Super Hornet building set is a detailed construction kit designed for ages 7 and up. Comprising 5,805 pieces, the set enables the recreation of the iconic Super Hornet fighter jet with realistic shapes and visible surface details. Made from high-quality, durable materials, the bricks lock together securely to form a stable model suitable for display or play. The set supports development of fine motor skills, spatial reasoning and patience while providing an extended building project for experienced and intermediate builders.

Advantages

The model offers a high piece count that allows for precise shaping and realistic contours of the aircraft without compromising structural stability. Pieces are manufactured to consistent tolerances so connections remain tight over repeated assembly and handling. The kit includes components that reproduce cockpit, wings and landing gear details, enabling both an accurate silhouette and functional elements. The set is compatible with other standard building bricks from the brand, allowing modular extensions or combined displays.

Suitable for

• Children and teenagers aged 7 and older learning advanced building techniques
• Hobbyists who collect scale aircraft models for display
• Educational projects focused on engineering concepts and spatial skills
• Group building activities, club meetings or family construction sessions

Key specifications

• Number of pieces: 5,805
• Recommended age: 7+
• Material: high-grade ABS plastic
• Model type: detailed fighter jet replica with movable elements
• Assembly complexity: advanced — multi-stage build with subassemblies
• Compatibility: compatible with standard building bricks from the same system

How to use

Begin by sorting pieces according to the instruction manual and grouping similar parts to streamline the build. Follow the step-by-step illustrated guide to assemble subcomponents such as fuselage sections, wings and landing gear, then combine these subassemblies into the final model. Handle small parts with care and use a flat, well-lit workspace to maintain orientation of tiny elements. After assembly, check connection points for tightness and position movable elements according to the manual.

Usage recommendations

Use this set on a stable surface and keep small parts away from children under 3 years due to choking risk. Store unused pieces in labeled containers to prevent loss and protect the model from direct sunlight and excessive heat to preserve color and plastic properties.
