Description

The AKAGI aircraft carrier was one of the most important vessels of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II, serving in the 1st Air Fleet and participating in the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and the Battle of Midway, where it was sunk in June 1942. The COBI model recreates the IJN Akagi at a scale of 1:300 with 3,573 pieces and a finished length of 87 cm, using contemporary construction elements to reflect the ship’s historic proportions and external features as faithfully as possible.
