Compression Elbow Comap 22 mm — model 8512099 (JEVCOJ512)
Compression Elbow Comap 22 mm — model 8512099 (JEVCOJ512)
Compression Elbow Comap 22 mm — model 8512099 (JEVCOJ512) is a 90° compressed-joint elbow designed for joining 22 mm copper, brass or compatible plastic tubing in heating, plumbing and potable water installations. The fitting creates a compact right-angle connection using a threaded compression mechanism that provides a mechanical seal without soldering. It is intended for applications where a space-saving directional change or straight-to-elbow transition is required and where a reliable leak-tight joint is necessary.
The compression elbow allows quick installation without special tools or hot-work, reducing on-site time. Its compact 90° design saves space in tight piping runs and behind fixtures. The compression connection provides a durable, serviceable joint that can be tightened or replaced without disturbing adjacent piping. Materials compatible with copper, brass and many plastics ensure corrosion resistance and suitability for potable water and heating circuits.
Cut the tubing square and deburr the cut end before inserting it fully into the fitting. Slide the compression nut and ferrule onto the tube, insert the tube into the elbow body until it seats, then hand-tighten the compression nut and finish tightening with an appropriate wrench to manufacturer-recommended torque to form the seal. After assembly, pressurize the system and check for leaks; if necessary, slightly retighten the nut. For disassembly, loosen the nut and withdraw the tube; replace ferrule if damaged.
Use compatible ferrules and ensure tube ends are clean and free of damage to achieve a reliable seal. Avoid over-tightening which may deform the ferrule or tubing. Observe local plumbing and heating codes and temperature/pressure limits of the piping system when installing the elbow.
