Brass Compression Coupling Comap F3 17x2.0 (set of 2) Eurocone

Comap F3 17x2.0 brass compression coupling (set of 2) with Eurocone connection is a mechanical fitting designed to join or repair 17x2.0 mm metal tubing without soldering. Manufactured in brass, the coupling uses a compression mechanism to create a tight seal around copper and compatible metal pipes, offering a straightforward solution for plumbing and heating installations where a reliable, serviceable joint is required.

Advantages

The brass construction provides corrosion resistance and mechanical strength while the compression design enables fast, tool-assisted installation without the need for heat or solder. Supplied as a set of two, these couplings include Eurocone ends for compatibility with standard cone-style fittings. The design supports repair and maintenance tasks by allowing disassembly and re-tightening if necessary, and suits systems where a leak-tight, mechanical connection is preferred over permanent soldered joints.

Suitable for

• Joining 17x2.0 mm copper or compatible metal tubing in domestic plumbing systems
• Repairing or replacing sections of pipe in heating circuits and radiators
• Fluid distribution lines where a non-soldered mechanical connection is required
• Installations requiring Eurocone-compatible fittings and straightforward servicing

When it may not be suitable

This compression coupling is not intended for use with plastic pipes unless a compatible metal insert or adapter is used; it is specifically sized for 17x2.0 mm metal tubing. It is also not suitable where permanent, fusion-type joints are required or in environments with aggressive chemicals that may attack brass unless verified compatible.

Key specifications

• Material: brass body with compression sealing components
• Tube size compatibility: 17 x 2.0 mm
• Connection type: Eurocone-compatible compression ends
• Pack quantity: set of 2 couplings
• Application: plumbing, heating, fluid distribution

How to use

Prepare the pipe ends by ensuring they are clean, deburred and cut square. Slide the compression nut and olive (if separate) onto the pipe, insert the pipe fully into the coupling body until it seats against the stop, then tighten the compression nut by hand and finish with a wrench to the recommended torque for a leak-tight seal. Verify alignment and test the joint under system pressure for leaks; re-tighten if minor seepage is observed following manufacturer torque guidance.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm pipe outer diameter and wall thickness match 17 x 2.0 mm
• Ensure system medias and temperatures are compatible with brass fittings
• Check compatibility with existing Eurocone fittings and adapters in the installation

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate hand and torque tools to avoid over-tightening; inspect seals after initial pressurization and during regular maintenance intervals. For long-term reliability, avoid exposure to corrosive chemicals and consider isolation if dissimilar metals are present to prevent galvanic corrosion.
