Conex Elbow Fitting with 10mm x 3/8" Female Thread, DZR Brass
Conex Elbow Fitting with 10mm x 3/8" Female Thread, DZR Brass
The Conex elbow fitting is a high-quality plumbing component designed to facilitate a secure 90-degree transition between a 10mm pipe and a 3/8" female threaded connection. Engineered for reliability in both plumbing and heating systems, this fitting provides a robust solution for redirecting pipework in tight spaces. Constructed from dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass, it offers superior protection against corrosion and long-term structural integrity, making it a dependable choice for professional installations.
The primary benefit of this Conex elbow is its DZR brass construction, which significantly extends the service life of the connection by resisting the leaching of zinc in aggressive water conditions. Its precision-engineered compression end ensures a tight, leak-proof seal without the need for soldering, simplifying the installation process. The compact design allows for efficient routing of pipes in confined areas, while the standardized threading ensures compatibility with a wide range of valves, taps, and other plumbing hardware.
This fitting is not intended for use with pipe diameters other than 10mm or threaded connections that do not match the 3/8" specification. It should not be used in high-pressure industrial systems that exceed the rated capacity of standard compression fittings.
To install the fitting, ensure the pipe end is cut square and is free from burrs or debris. Slide the compression nut and the olive onto the pipe. Insert the pipe fully into the fitting body until it seats against the internal stop. Tighten the nut by hand until firm, then use a wrench to tighten it further by approximately three-quarters of a turn to compress the olive and create a watertight seal. Ensure the threaded side is connected to the corresponding male component using appropriate thread sealant if required.
Always inspect the joint for leaks after the system has been pressurized. Avoid overtightening the compression nut, as this can damage the olive or the pipe.
