Copymaster3D 3D Filament PLA in Perfect Purple is a 1 kg spool of 1.75 mm filament that provides approximately 336 m of material for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Made from polylactic acid (PLA), this filament is derived from renewable resources and designed for reliable, low-shrinkage printing. Its consistent diameter and low-odour composition make it suitable for home, educational and workshop environments where ease of use and dimensional accuracy are important.
Copymaster3D PLA Purple offers stable extrusion thanks to a precision diameter tolerance (±0.03 mm), which reduces nozzle clogs and improves layer adhesion. The material exhibits low shrinkage and minimal warping, enabling accurate prints and predictable results without a mandatory heated bed, although a heated build surface can improve adhesion. PLA is biodegradable and emits negligible fumes during printing, supporting safer indoor use. The filament’s vivid purple colour provides good visual definition for prototypes, models and decorative items.
Load the 1.75 mm Copymaster3D PLA filament into your FDM/FFF 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Set the nozzle temperature and print settings appropriate for PLA (refer to your printer or slicer defaults if unsure). A heated bed is not required but setting a modest bed temperature and using an adhesion aid such as a glue stick or Copymaster3D PrimaFIX can improve first-layer adhesion and reduce the likelihood of warping. Ensure proper filament storage in a dry environment to maintain print quality.
For best results use nozzle temperatures and print speeds recommended for PLA material by your printer or slicer. Use a build surface preparation method if adhesion issues occur. Store the filament in a sealed container with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption and maintain consistent extrusion performance.
