CorroProtect Metalprimer 22627 Grey 400 ml Spray Metal Primer

The CorroProtect Metalprimer 22627 Grey 400 ml Spray Metal Primer is an effective aerosol-based primer designed to deliver reliable corrosion protection and optimal surface preparation on various metal substrates prior to painting. Supplied in a convenient 400 ml spray can, this grey metal primer ensures a uniform application and creates a solid foundation for subsequent topcoats, making it a practical choice for both do-it-yourself projects and professional metal coating tasks.

Advantages

This metal primer spray offers exceptional adhesion to metal surfaces, creating a strong bond that prevents peeling and enhances the durability of the final paint layer. Its specialized formulation provides an active barrier against rust and corrosion, extending the lifespan of metal objects exposed to environmental factors. The aerosol format allows for fast, even coverage even on hard-to-reach areas, intricate shapes, and detailed components, minimizing preparation time and effort.

Suitable for

• Priming steel and iron surfaces before painting
• Automotive touch-ups and restoration projects
• Protecting outdoor metal furniture and railings
• General DIY and professional metal maintenance tasks

When it may not be suitable

This product is not recommended for application on non-metal surfaces such as wood, plastic, or glass, as adhesion properties are specifically engineered for metallic substrates. Additionally, it should not be applied directly over active, untreated rust without prior surface cleaning and preparation.

Key specifications

• Product type: Metal primer spray
• Color: Grey
• Volume: 400 ml
• Application method: Aerosol spray can
• Primary function: Corrosion protection and surface preparation

How to use

Before application, ensure the metal surface is clean, dry, and free from grease, dirt, and loose rust. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly for approximately one minute after the mixing balls begin to rattle. Hold the can at a distance of approximately 15 to 25 centimeters from the surface and apply in thin, even cross-coats to avoid running or sagging. Allow the primer to dry completely according to ambient conditions before applying the final paint coat.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the grey color is compatible with your planned topcoat color
• Ensure adequate ventilation in the workspace during aerosol application
• Check that the 400 ml volume is sufficient for the intended surface area

For optimal results, apply the metal primer in a well-ventilated area at room temperature and allow sufficient drying time between layers before painting.
