3D printing material Polylactic acid (PLA) Creality 3D 3301010342
Creality 3D 3301010342 is a 1 kg spool of Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament in red with a 1.75 mm diameter, intended for general-purpose fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printing. The filament is supplied on a well-packed spool to reduce tangles and ensure smooth feeding. PLA is a bio-based thermoplastic known for relatively low printing temperatures, minimal warping, and good surface finish, making this red PLA suitable for detailed models, prototypes, and decorative prints on compatible Creality 3D printers and other printers that accept 1.75 mm PLA.
This PLA filament offers consistent diameter tolerance and reliable layer adhesion, producing accurate prints with fine surface detail. The material prints at modest nozzle temperatures and typically requires no heated bed or only a lightly heated bed, reducing energy use and simplifying setup. Being a polylactic acid, it is derived from renewable resources and exhibits low shrinkage during cooling, which helps maintain dimensional stability for small to medium-sized parts.
Load the filament onto the spool holder and feed it through the Bowden tube or direct drive extruder according to your printer manufacturer’s instructions. Set the nozzle temperature within the typical PLA range (approximately 180–220 °C) and, if used, set the heated bed to a low temperature or leave it off depending on adhesion needs. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and print speed for best surface quality; slower speeds generally improve layer adhesion and detail. After printing, allow the part to cool before removal to reduce deformation.
Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption. Use a cooling fan during printing for improved bridging and small-feature detail. For larger flat parts, consider a brim or light adhesion aid to prevent edge lifting.
