Creality 3D 3301030036 PETG Blue is a 1 kg spool of polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PETG) filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm. Designed for use with Creality 3D printers and compatible models, this blue PETG filament combines strong layer adhesion and dimensional stability to produce durable parts with minimal warping. The material balances toughness and printability, making it suitable for functional prototypes, mechanical components, and aesthetic models where impact resistance and a smooth finish are required.
PETG provides superior layer bonding and is less likely to delaminate compared with some other commonly used filaments. Its composition offers a good compromise between the rigidity of PLA and the toughness of ABS, delivering higher impact resistance while remaining easier to print than high-temperature engineering plastics. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures consistent extrusion on most desktop FDM printers, and the 1 kg spool provides a practical quantity for small to medium-sized projects.
Load the 1.75 mm PETG filament into the printer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions. Set the hotend temperature and bed temperature following recommended PETG ranges for your specific machine; typical starting points are around 230–250°C for the nozzle and 60–80°C for the heated bed, but verify with your printer and adjust by ±5–10°C as needed. Use a moderate print speed and enable retraction settings appropriate for PETG to reduce stringing. Ensure the first layer adheres well by calibrating bed leveling and adjusting Z-offset. Allow parts to cool gradually to avoid internal stress.
Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to maintain print quality. If filament has absorbed moisture, dry according to filament manufacturer guidelines before printing. When printing functional parts, consider adding additional infill or thicker walls to improve strength, and test small samples to fine-tune temperature, speed, and cooling settings for optimal surface finish and mechanical properties.
