Cassette Lockring Tool Cyclo CYC-6385 for 9 & 10-Speed Sprockets
Cassette Lockring Tool Cyclo CYC-6385 for 9 & 10-Speed Sprockets
Cyclo CYC-6385 is a cassette lockring tool designed for use with 9- and 10-speed sprockets. The tool engages standard cassette lockrings to enable removal and installation of cassette assemblies during routine maintenance, upgrades or component swaps. Its compact design and compatibility with common cassette interfaces make it suitable for both workshop benches and at-home repairs.
The Cyclo CYC-6385 provides a secure fit on standard cassette lockrings, reducing the risk of slippage during removal or installation. It is engineered for reliable torque transfer and consistent engagement with typical 9- and 10-speed cassette profiles. The simple, robust construction makes the tool durable for repeated use and straightforward to operate with a compatible wrench or breaker bar.
Fit the Cyclo CYC-6385 onto the cassette lockring splines so the tool seats fully. Secure the tool with an appropriate wrench, socket or breaker bar, and use a chain whip to hold the cassette body if required. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to loosen and remove the lockring, or clockwise to install and tighten the lockring to the manufacturer’s specified torque. Inspect the lockring and cassette interface for dirt or damage before reassembly and ensure correct orientation when reinstalling the cassette.
For safe and effective use, pair the tool with a chain whip when removing the cassette to prevent freehub rotation. Clean mating surfaces and lightly lubricate threads if recommended by the cassette manufacturer. Apply torque within the cassette manufacturer’s specified range and avoid using impact tools that may damage splines.
