Solder wire for copper installations CYNEL 100 g – tin-based fluxed solder for plumbing and HVAC joints
CYNEL solder wire for copper installations, 100 g, is a tin-based fluxed solder formulated for making reliable metallic joints in copper piping used in plumbing and HVAC systems. Supplied on a compact 100 g spool, the solder promotes capillary flow into fittings and creates corrosion-resistant connections when correct preparation, fluxing and heating techniques are applied. The product is intended for repair work, small installations and routine maintenance on domestic and light commercial copper piping networks.
The tin-based alloy with integrated flux simplifies joint preparation by reducing the need for separate flux application and helps improve wetting on clean copper surfaces. The 100 g spool format is convenient for carry and storage on service jobs and allows controlled dispensing for small- to medium-scale tasks. When used with appropriate heat and cleaning, the solder produces strong metallic joints that withstand typical domestic and commercial service conditions.
Prepare mating surfaces by cutting, filing and cleaning to bright copper, removing oxidation, oils and debris. If required by local practice, apply additional compatible flux to the joint area even where fluxed wire is used, to ensure capillary flow. Heat the joint uniformly with an appropriate torch or soldering iron until the copper reaches soldering temperature, then feed the solder wire into the heated joint so the molten solder is drawn into the seam by capillary action. Allow the joint to cool naturally and wipe away any residual flux residues according to safety and maintenance guidelines.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, work in a well-ventilated area and follow local codes for plumbing and HVAC work. For potable water applications, verify that the solder alloy and flux comply with relevant drinking-water regulations before use. Store the spool in a dry place away from extreme heat and direct sunlight.
