Product information

Description

The DAHUA WizMind 8MP IPC-HFW5859E-ASE-IL-0280B is a fixed-focal bullet IP security camera designed for indoor and outdoor wired surveillance. It uses an 8 MP 1/1.8" CMOS sensor to deliver up to 3840 × 2160 resolution at 30 fps and combines smart white light with IR illumination for full-color and low-light recording. The camera supports Ethernet connectivity, video motion detection, audio I/O and alarm I/O, and can be mounted on a ceiling, wall or pole. Ruggedized to IP67 standards and weighing 0.61 kg, it is intended for durable perimeter and site monitoring.

Advantages

This WizMind series camera integrates Dahua's Xinghan Large-Scale AI Models-Vision and deep-learning algorithms to provide enhanced object detection, recognition and scene adaptation. Smart Dual Light enables full-color snapshots and video of key events while reducing light pollution by switching between white light and IR as needed. The camera supports efficient codecs and multiple image-enhancement features for clearer images in varied lighting conditions, and its IP67 protection and wide voltage tolerance make it suitable for outdoor deployments.

Suitable for

  • Perimeter and outdoor site surveillance
  • Entrance, parking and driveway monitoring
  • Retail and facility monitoring requiring people counting and face detection metadata
  • Locations needing wired Ethernet connection and PoE power

When it may not be suitable

This wired bullet camera is not suitable for locations that require wireless connectivity or battery operation. Models in the series may vary in certification and certain features — confirm the specific model capabilities before relying on particular certifications or advanced AI functions for a critical installation.

Key specifications

  • Image sensor: 1/1.8" CMOS, 8 MP (3840 × 2160)
  • Frame rate: up to 30 fps at 8 MP
  • Field of view: 110° horizontal / 56° vertical
  • Dual light: smart white light and IR, night vision up to 50 m
  • AI features: object detection, face detection, people counting, video metadata, AcuPick
  • Encoding: SMART H.264+/H.265+, AI H.264/H.265, ROI, SVC
  • Inputs/outputs: 1 alarm in, 1 alarm out; 1 audio in, 1 audio out; built-in microphone
  • Storage: microSD card support (up to 1 TB)
  • Power: 12 VDC / PoE; ePoE supported
  • Protection: IP67 (dust- and water-resistant)
  • Mounting: ceiling, wall or pole
  • Weight and color: 0.61 kg; white

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable ceiling, wall or pole using the appropriate hardware and connect it to a network switch or PoE injector for power and data. Configure network settings and enable desired AI features, motion detection and recording parameters via Dahua's VMS or the camera web interface. Use the white light and IR settings to balance full-color capture and low-light performance, and insert a compatible microSD card if local recording is required.

What to consider before purchase

  • Require wired Ethernet and PoE availability at the installation site
  • Confirm required AI features and certification levels for your use case
  • Check mount type and field of view to ensure adequate coverage
  • Plan for storage needs (microSD support up to 1 TB or network storage)

Usage recommendations

For reliable detection and optimal image quality, install the camera at a stable height that matches the intended field of view, ensure PoE or 12 VDC power is stable, and configure AI sensitivity to reduce false alarms. Use full-color mode for event evidence in low-light scenes and IR mode to minimize light pollution when continuous color is not required.
