DAHUA IP hybrid bullet camera TPC-BF1241-B3F4-DW-S8, 4MP thermal/visual hybrid
DAHUA NET CAMERA 4MP HYBRID BULLET (model TPC-BF1241-B3F4-DW-S8) is an outdoor hybrid HDTV/megapixel bullet camera designed for surveillance applications. It features a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with 4 megapixel effective resolution (2336 × 1752), a fixed 4 mm focal length lens and infrared illumination for low-light monitoring. The camera supports PoE or 12 VDC power, provides network connectivity via RJ45 and includes audio input/output, RS-485 and alarm I/O. It accepts storage cards up to 256 GB and is built for outdoor use with an operating temperature range from −30 °C to +60 °C.
The camera delivers high-resolution 4 MP imaging suitable for detailed monitoring, combined with infrared illumination for night visibility down to 0.005 lux. Hybrid design allows use in HDTV and megapixel systems. Built-in network and interface options (RJ45, audio in/out, RS-485, alarm inputs/outputs) support integration with recording and access systems. Flexible power options include Power over Ethernet (PoE) and 12 VDC for varied installation scenarios. Compact weather-resistant housing and a broad operating temperature range make it suitable for outdoor deployment.
Mount the camera in a weather-protected outdoor location with a clear field of view. Connect network and power using PoE over the RJ45 port or supply 12 VDC to the power input. Configure the camera via its web interface or compatible NVR software to set resolution, shutter and exposure, and enable IR settings for night monitoring. Insert a supported microSD card up to 256 GB if local recording is required. Use the RS-485 port for PTZ or external device control where applicable and wire alarm in/out and audio lines as needed for integration.
For optimal performance, mount the camera at a stable location 2.5–4 meters above ground for typical entrance or parking views; ensure the lens is free of obstructions and clean the dome periodically. Use PoE where possible to simplify cabling and ensure a reliable network connection; verify environmental sealing and connectors if installed in harsh conditions.
