DATACOM Keystone UTP Cat5e Mini jack module, black, model 4001
DATACOM Keystone UTP Cat5e mini jack module (model 4001) is a compact, single-port unshielded keystone connector for Cat5e twisted-pair cabling. The module is intended for installation into keystone wall plates and patch panels to provide a space-saving Ethernet termination for data and voice networks. The black finish offers a discreet appearance and the module features a top punch-down (dual 110/LSA) termination field and a protective dust cap.
The keystone module supports UTP Cat5e cabling and provides an industry-standard punched termination compatible with both 110 and LSA (dual) punch-down tools, enabling flexible installation. Its compact keystone form factor allows snap-in mounting into standard plates and panels, while the included cover helps protect the jack from dust. The black colour provides a low-visibility option for installations where appearance matters.
Terminate the Cat5e UTP cable conductors into the module’s top punch-down field following the colour code for the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B). Use an appropriate 110/LSA punch-down tool to secure each conductor. Snap the keystone module into a compatible wall plate or patch panel opening. If provided, fit the protective dust cap over the jack when the port is not in use.
For reliable connections, test the terminated link with a network cable tester after installation and avoid excessive bending or strain on the cable near the termination point. Use proper cable management and follow TIA/EIA wiring standards for best results.
