Crimping tool DATACOM 4527 for 8P/6P connectors
Crimping tool DATACOM 4527 for 8P/6P connectors is a handheld tool designed for terminating modular connectors used in network and telephone cabling. It supports RJ45 (8P8C) and RJ12/RJ11 (6P6C/6P4C) connectors and includes a clip-crimping function to securely set the connector latch. The tool is suitable for field and workshop use by technicians and installers assembling patch cords and telephone leads.
The DATACOM 4527 provides reliable mechanical crimping for consistent contact pressure and proper seating of the connector. It supports connectors with cable openings for CAT6A and CAT7, and can be adjusted for CAT5e by repositioning an internal plate. The tool is compact, handheld and finished in black for practical use on site.
Strip the cable to the appropriate length, arrange wires in the correct pinout, and insert them fully into the modular connector. Place the connector into the crimping slot and squeeze the handles firmly to compress the contacts and seat the plug. If the connector includes a separate latch clip, use the tool's clip-crimping feature to crimp the latch into place. Verify the termination visually and with a cable tester if required.
For consistent results, use connectors that match the cable category and follow standard wiring schemes. Reposition the internal plate when switching between CAT6A/CAT7 and CAT5e connectors. Inspect contacts after crimping and test assembled cables before deployment.
