Handheld Mobile Computer Datalogic Skorpio X5
The Datalogic Skorpio X5 is a handheld mobile computer with a 4.3" multi-touch display and a high-performance platform designed for retail, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare. It offers a wide choice of scan engines, including Linear, Standard 2D, Mid-Range and an Extra-Long Range (XLR) 2D imager, enabling fast barcode capture at short and long distances. The device runs Android 10, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600-class processor and is built as a fully rugged Portable Data Terminal for demanding environments.
The Skorpio X5 provides extended scanning range up to very long distances with the XLR imager, robust mechanical protection including drop resistance and IP65 sealing, and a large bright Gorilla Glass display for high visibility in varied lighting conditions. It includes wireless contactless charging options, hot-swappable battery support and enterprise-grade Android (Android Enterprise Recommended) for simplified deployment and security. Multiple keypad and scan key configurations enable adaptation to different workflows.
Power on the Skorpio X5 and configure network and enterprise settings through the Android setup and your company mobile device management solution. Select the scan engine model suited to your workflow, attach any optional accessories such as a rubber boot or belt holder, and insert a MicroSD card if additional storage is needed. Use the touchscreen and physical keypad to run data collection or inventory applications, and operate the appropriate scan key (side, central, trigger or bottom) to capture barcodes at the required distance. For continuous operations, use the hot-swappable battery option and, if available, the contactless charging cradle for convenient charging.
For reliable long-term operation, choose the scan engine that matches your typical reading distance (XLR for mixed near/far scanning), use the optional rubber boot for extra drop protection in harsh environments, keep the device’s firmware and Android security updates current, and prefer contactless charging models where high uptime and low maintenance are priorities.
