Handheld mobile computer Datalogic Skorpio X5 — 4.3" (10.9 cm) touchscreen, 800×480, Snapdragon 660 2.2 GHz, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB flash, numeric keypad, ba...
The Datalogic Skorpio X5 is a key-based handheld mobile computer designed for retail, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and healthcare. It features a 4.3" multi-touch Gorilla Glass display with 800 x 480 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 platform (up to 2.2–2.3 GHz), 3 GB RAM, 32 GB flash with SDXC support, and multiple scan engine options including linear, standard 2D and a Mid-Range imager. The device runs Android with Google Mobile Services and meets Android Enterprise Recommended requirements. Built as a fully rugged PDT, the Skorpio X5 offers long battery life with hot-swappable batteries, optional wireless contactless charging, and protection against drops, dust and water (IP65).
The Skorpio X5 provides a large, bright Gorilla Glass touchscreen for improved readability in indoor and outdoor lighting, along with high computational performance for running several demanding applications concurrently. Flexible scanning options let you choose from short-range to mid-range imaging (up to about 2 m) to match operational needs. The device supports contactless wireless charging models and hot-swappable batteries to reduce downtime and maintenance, and its rugged construction (drop resistance, IP65) and optional accessories increase durability in harsh environments.
Choose the keypad and scan engine configuration that matches your workflow (numeric, function or alphanumeric keypad; side, central, trigger or bottom scan keys). Power the device using the removable battery or the contactless charging model where available; replace batteries during long shifts without powering down when using hot-swappable batteries. Install and run required Android applications from your enterprise deployment tools and connect to Wi‑Fi networks for data synchronization. Position the device so the imager has a clear view of barcodes; use the Mid‑Range imager when scanning items at greater distances (up to about 2 m).
For highest uptime in demanding environments, use the wireless charging models together with hot‑swappable batteries and maintain regular firmware updates via your enterprise management tools. Select the Mid‑Range imager only if your typical scanning distance exceeds standard ranges to balance performance and cost.
