Hex Key with Ball 12.0 mm, Dedra CRV long
Long hex key (Allen key) with a 12.0 mm diameter and a ball-end tip, manufactured by Dedra from chrome‑vanadium (CRV) steel. The long arm provides extended reach for recessed or hard-to-access fasteners, while the ball end enables insertion and turning at an angle, improving accessibility in confined spaces. The CRV material offers strength and resistance to wear for routine assembly, maintenance and repair tasks.
The long design increases reach and leverage without increasing user effort, and the ball-end geometry permits operation at off-axis angles up to approximately 25–30 degrees for faster engagement of hex sockets. Chrome‑vanadium construction ensures durability and resistance to deformation under torque. The single-piece design provides reliable performance when assembling furniture, working on mechanical components or performing general maintenance.
Insert the 12.0 mm hex end into the matching internal hex socket and rotate using the long arm for leverage. For fasteners in restricted locations, align the ball tip and engage at the necessary angle; apply steady torque and avoid sudden force to reduce risk of rounding the fastener. Use the short arm for higher torque by gripping closer to the bend when required, and use the long arm for reach and controlled rotation.
Inspect the fastener and hex key before use to ensure proper fit. Avoid using the tool as a pry bar or striking it with a hammer. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion and periodically clean contact surfaces to maintain engagement accuracy.
