Hole Saw Dedra TCT 20 mm 1/2" for drilling with tungsten carbide teeth
Hole Saw Dedra TCT 20 mm 1/2" for drilling with tungsten carbide teeth
Dedra TCT hole saw 20 mm 1/2" is a circular cutting tool designed to create precise round openings in a variety of building materials. The tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) teeth provide increased wear resistance and maintain sharpness during repeated cutting operations. The cutter fits standard 1/2" arbors and is intended for tasks where accurate small-diameter holes are required, such as cable entries, pipe penetrations and installation apertures for fixtures.
The TCT teeth ensure long life and reliable cutting performance compared to standard bi-metal or high-speed steel hole saws. Its 20 mm diameter delivers consistent, clean holes with minimal chipping on wood, plywood and laminate surfaces. Compatibility with conventional 1/2" arbors makes the tool easy to mount on common drills. Overall construction offers dimensional stability to help achieve accurate hole placement.
Secure the hole saw on a compatible 1/2" arbor and tighten according to the arbor manufacturer's instructions. Mark the centre point of the required opening and, if possible, use a pilot drill to guide the saw and prevent walking. Start drilling at low speed to establish the cut, then increase speed moderately while applying steady, even pressure. Clear chips periodically to avoid clogging the teeth and to maintain cutting efficiency. After finishing the hole, remove the cut plug and inspect the teeth for damage before the next use.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and hearing protection. When cutting laminated or veneered surfaces, place masking tape over the cut line to reduce edge chipping. For non-ferrous metals or harder composites, verify suitability and adjust cutting speed to reduce heat buildup; use cutting lubricant when recommended for the material. Replace the saw if teeth are visibly worn or damaged to maintain hole quality.
