Hole saw Dedra TCT 102 mm 5/8'' uniwersalna — bi-metal cutter
Dedra TCT 102 mm 5/8'' universal hole saw is a tungsten carbide-tipped cutter designed to create clean 102 mm diameter openings. The bi-metal construction combines a TCT cutting rim with a robust body to deliver consistent cutting performance in wood and certain non-ferrous materials. The tool fits a standard 5/8'' arbor and is intended for installation and construction tasks where precise circular holes are required.
The TCT cutting edge provides improved wear resistance compared with plain HSS teeth, extending blade life when cutting abrasive or hardwood materials. The bi-metal body offers balance between flexibility and strength to reduce the risk of breakage during standard drilling operations. Compatibility with a 5/8'' arbor makes the hole saw easy to mount on common drills and drill stands, while the 102 mm diameter delivers a standardized opening size for pipes, cable entries, and fixtures.
Secure the hole saw to a compatible 5/8'' arbor and ensure the arbor is correctly tightened. Mark the centre of the required hole and clamp the workpiece to prevent movement. Start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot and maintain steady pressure; increase speed moderately once the cutting rim has engaged the material. Withdraw the saw periodically to clear chips and avoid overheating. After cutting, deburr the hole edges if necessary.
Use steady feed pressure and appropriate drill speeds for the material being cut. For hardwood or abrasive materials, use slower speeds and frequent chip clearing to prolong TCT life. Wear eye and hand protection and secure the workpiece to reduce vibration.
