Hole Saw Dedra TCT 105 mm 5/8" for wood, metal and plastics
Hole Saw Dedra TCT 105 mm 5/8" for wood, metal and plastics
Dedra TCT 105 mm 5/8" hole saw is designed to cut circular openings in a variety of common building materials, including soft and hardwoods, non-ferrous metals, and many types of plastic. The blade features tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) teeth that provide improved wear resistance and maintain cutting performance over repeated use. The saw accepts a standard 5/8" arbor connection and is intended for use with compatible drills for installation tasks such as routing pipes, electrical conduits, vents and for general trade or DIY work.
The tungsten carbide tipped teeth deliver a longer tool life compared with plain-steel teeth and reduce the need for frequent sharpening or replacement. The 105 mm diameter produces precise circular holes suitable for many common fitting sizes, while the 5/8" arbor interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of drill arbors and mandrels. The construction is optimized for cleaner cuts in wood, metal and many plastics, helping to minimise chipping and reduce finishing work.
Secure the appropriate 5/8" arbor in the drill and attach the hole saw firmly according to the arbor manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the centre of the desired hole and use a pilot drill where applicable to guide the saw. Start drilling at moderate speed with steady pressure, allowing the TCT teeth to cut without forcing. Periodically withdraw the saw to clear chips and reduce heat build-up. After completing the cut, remove the core and inspect the hole edge, deburring if necessary.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves. For metal cutting, use cutting fluid or coolant as recommended for the workpiece to prolong tool life. Match drilling speed and feed rate to the material: lower speeds for metals and harder plastics, higher speeds for wood. Inspect the teeth before use and replace the saw if teeth are damaged.
