Steel Wool Dedra 200 g, grade 00, model 1530-00
Steel Wool Dedra 200 g, grade 00, is a fine abrasive material intended for cleaning, polishing and surface preparation on metal, wood and painted surfaces. Supplied in a 200 g pack, this grade 00 wool delivers light abrasion suitable for removing small rust traces, smoothing filler, blending finishes and preparing surfaces before painting or varnishing. The product is designed for use in workshops, renovation and DIY projects where delicate yet effective material removal is required.
The 00 grade offers a balance between effective cleaning and low aggressiveness, reducing the risk of deep scratches on sensitive surfaces. Its fine structure conforms easily to contours and profiles, enabling even polish and consistent surface blending. The 200 g pack provides a practical quantity for multiple small tasks without excessive waste, and the steel construction ensures durability and sustained abrasive action during use.
Select an appropriate working pressure and test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application. For metal surfaces, use light, even strokes along the grain or contour to remove rust and oxidation. For wood, rub gently to smooth grain or blend filler, then remove residue with a brush or cloth. When working on painted surfaces, work carefully to avoid removing underlying paint layers; a light touch will blend edges and produce a uniform finish. After use, clean the surface of loose particles and, if required, apply protective coating such as paint, varnish or oil.
Wear appropriate hand protection to avoid irritation from metal fibers and work in well-ventilated areas. Keep the steel wool dry and stored in a sealed container to prevent premature rusting. Avoid using on delicate lacquered surfaces without testing, and do not use steel wool on surfaces that may be damaged by ferrous particles (e.g., some stainless steels or anodized aluminium) unless compatibility is confirmed.
