DEDRA 17F044Z hex key 1 pc(s)
DEDRA 17F044Z hex key, single piece, is a tool intended for driving fasteners with hexagonal sockets. This compact hex key has an imperial size of 1/2" and is designed for manual use where access and torque control are required. The tool is suitable for workshop, maintenance and home repair tasks that involve metric or imperial hex socket fasteners of the correct size.
This single 1/2" hex key provides a simple, reliable method to engage and turn hex socket fasteners without the bulk of multi-piece sets. Its one-piece construction reduces the risk of misplacing components and offers a stable grip for applying torque. The tool’s small profile allows use in confined spaces while maintaining direct control over rotational force.
Select the DEDRA 1/2" hex key and insert the short or long end into the fastener’s hex socket until fully seated. Maintain steady axial pressure while turning the key to avoid cam-out. For greater torque, use the longer arm as a lever; for limited clearance, use the short arm. Reverse the direction of rotation to loosen or tighten as required. Inspect the tool and fastener contact for wear before use to ensure a secure fit and reduce the risk of rounding the socket.
Use the hex key only with matching-size hex sockets. Do not apply excessive force or use as a pry bar. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion and check the tip for deformation before each use.
