DEDRA DED7749P3 angle grinder accessory is a 225 mm abrasive disc designed for use with compatible angle grinders. Made for material removal and surface preparation, the disc features an abrasive coating suitable for sanding and grinding tasks on metal, wood and similar surfaces. Supplied as a single piece per pack, it offers a standard diameter that fits many common sanding backings and holders used with angle grinders and compatible sanding systems.
This 22.5 cm abrasive disc provides a large working area for faster coverage of flat and curved surfaces. The abrasive grain is selected for effective stock removal while maintaining a balance between cut-rate and surface finish. The disc’s construction supports perforated designs that improve dust extraction when used with compatible vacuum-equipped sanding backings. Supplied as a single unit, it is suitable for replacement when an existing sanding disc reaches the end of its service life.
The disc is intended for use with angle grinders and compatible sanding adapters; it is not suitable for use in handheld orbital sanders or sanders that do not accept 225 mm discs. For extremely fine finishing or polishing tasks a finer-grit abrasive or specific polishing pad may be required. Also verify that the grinder’s speed rating and backing system match the disc’s requirements before use.
Install the abrasive disc onto a compatible angle grinder or sanding backing that accepts 225 mm discs, following the tool manufacturer’s instructions for mounting and safety. Ensure the disc is centered and securely fastened before powering the tool. Use steady, even pressure and move the grinder across the workpiece to avoid gouging. When dust extraction is available, align the disc’s perforations with the backing pad and dust port to reduce airborne particles. Replace the disc when cutting efficiency decreases or the abrasive surface is worn.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, gloves and dust mask when grinding or sanding. Match the abrasive disc’s grit to the material and desired finish, and avoid applying excessive force—let the abrasive do the work. Dispose of worn discs according to local regulations.
