DEDRA F70AW1500 manual sanding supply is a sheet of waterproof abrasive paper designed for hand sanding and fine finishing tasks. The sheet measures 230 mm by 280 mm and has a very fine grit of 1500, intended for smoothing surfaces, removing very fine imperfections, and preparing substrates for polishing or coating steps. Supplied as a single sheet, this product is suitable for controlled, manual surface preparation where a high level of finish is required.
The waterproof abrasive construction enables wet or dry sanding, reducing dust and allowing finer surface control when used with water or compatible lubricants. The 1500 grit provides a very fine abrasive action suitable for delicate finishing, feathering edges, and refining painted or lacquered surfaces prior to polishing. The 230 x 280 mm sheet size is convenient for hand use and can be cut to shape for specific tasks.
This single sheet format is not designed for high-volume industrial operations where large quantities or continuous use are required. For heavy stock removal, coarse grit abrasives are more appropriate than this very fine 1500 grit sheet. Users should avoid excessive pressure or inappropriate backing that could tear the sheet or damage the surface being worked on.
Select whether to use the sheet wet or dry depending on the material and finish required. For wet sanding, dip the sheet in clean water and keep the surface lubricated during sanding; this minimizes clogging and reduces heat buildup. Use light, even strokes and check progress frequently to avoid over-sanding. The sheet can be wrapped around a foam or rubber block for a more even pressure distribution, or cut to size for tight areas. After achieving the desired surface, clean and dry the area before proceeding to polishing or coating.
For best results when refining paint or clear coat finishes, use the sheet wet with light pressure and progress to finer polishing compounds after sanding. Store the sheet flat and dry until use to preserve its integrity.
