Carbon motor brushes Dedra XDED7943.23 — set of 2 replacement brushes
Replacement carbon (electrographite) motor brushes Dedra XDED7943.23 — set of 2 replacement brushes are designed for restoring electrical contact in commutator motors and power tools that use brush contacts. Supplied as a pair, these brushes restore stable current transfer between the stator and the rotor, help reduce sparking at the commutator, and contribute to prolonging the service life of rotating equipment when correctly installed and matched to the tool.
These Dedra electrographite motor brushes offer consistent conductivity and low wear characteristics typical for carbon brush materials intended for small electric motors and handheld power tools. As a matched set of two, they simplify replacement of paired brush holders and help maintain balanced current distribution. Their construction supports smooth commutator contact, which can reduce electrical noise and intermittent operation caused by worn brushes.
These replacement brushes are intended for motors and tools that use carbon/electrographite brush contacts with compatible brush holder dimensions and spring arrangements. They may not fit motors that require a different brush shape, a different contact material (for example, metal-graphite blends with specific alloying), or where brushes are integrated into a sealed assembly. Confirm physical compatibility before installation.
Turn off and disconnect the power tool or motor from the power source before beginning. Access the brush holders by removing the tool’s housing or end cap as specified in the tool manual. Carefully extract the old brushes, noting the orientation and any springs or contacts, and then insert the new Dedra electrographite brushes in the same orientation. Reassemble the housing, reconnect power, and run the motor briefly under no load to seat the brushes and allow proper contact with the commutator. If excessive sparking or unusual noise persists, stop and verify fitment and commutator condition.
Replace brushes in matched pairs and inspect the commutator for wear or scoring; clean or machine the commutator if necessary for optimal contact. Use brushes in tools that match the specified material type to avoid accelerated wear or poor electrical contact.
