Degson M20 Cable Gland, 9-14mm, IP67, Metric Thread, Light Grey
The Degson M20 cable gland is a robust and reliable solution for securing cable entries into electrical enclosures and junction boxes. Engineered for durability, this component ensures a tight, protective seal for cables ranging from 9mm to 14mm in diameter. Its metric thread design allows for straightforward installation in standard industrial control systems, providing both mechanical strain relief and environmental protection to maintain the integrity of internal electrical components.
This cable gland offers superior protection against environmental factors, featuring an IP67 rating that guarantees complete resistance to dust ingress and protection against temporary water immersion. The high-quality construction ensures long-term performance in demanding industrial environments, preventing cable pull-out and minimizing the risk of damage to sensitive wiring. Its design facilitates a quick and secure installation process, contributing to efficient electrical assembly and maintenance.
This product is not intended for use with cables outside the specified 9mm to 14mm diameter range, as an improper fit will compromise the IP67 sealing performance. It is also not suitable for high-pressure washdown environments or permanent underwater submersion beyond the limits defined by the IP67 standard.
To install the Degson M20 cable gland, first ensure the enclosure hole is sized correctly for an M20 metric thread. Insert the gland body through the opening and secure it firmly from the inside using the provided locknut. Feed the cable through the gland until the desired length is reached. Finally, tighten the dome nut by hand or with a suitable tool to compress the internal seal around the cable, ensuring a watertight and dustproof connection.
For optimal sealing performance, ensure the cable surface is clean and free of debris before tightening the dome nut. Do not overtighten the nut beyond the point of firm resistance to avoid damaging the internal sealing gasket.
