To install the Degson PG11 cable gland, insert the threaded body through the pre-drilled hole in your enclosure wall and secure it firmly using the provided locknut from the inside. Once the gland is mounted, loosen the dome nut, pass your cable through the center, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses securely around the cable jacket. Ensure the nut is tightened sufficiently to achieve the IP67 seal without over-torquing, which could damage the threads.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP67 seal, ensure the cable surface is clean and free of debris before tightening. Regularly inspect the connection points in high-vibration environments to ensure the dome nut remains secure.
