Heat shrink tube DeLOCK 19592
The DeLOCK 19592 heat shrink tube is a polyolefin sleeve in yellow, designed to provide insulation, protection and a secure fit for wires, cables and grips. When heated it contracts to approximately half its original diameter (2:1 shrinkage), forming a tight sleeve that protects against weather and mechanical wear while improving grip on tools, sports equipment and other items.
The polyolefin material offers flexibility, chemical and abrasion resistance and reliable electrical insulation. The 2:1 shrinkage ratio ensures a snug fit on different diameters, and the bright yellow colour improves visibility. Suitable for use with a hot air gun, the sleeve provides long-lasting protection for exposed areas and handles.
Slide the heat shrink tube over the area to be covered. Apply heat evenly with a hot air gun, starting from one end and moving along the length, until the tube contracts and forms a tight sleeve around the object. Allow to cool so the sleeve sets in place. For electrical applications ensure wires are positioned correctly and insulated before shrinking.
Use a hot air gun at appropriate temperature settings for polyolefin tubing and avoid open flames. Choose a tube diameter that provides enough overlap before shrinking to achieve the correct final fit. For electrical work follow applicable safety standards and disconnect power before applying heat shrink.
