DeLOCK 63465 Serial Cable Black Transparent 1.8m USB Type-A DB-9
DeLOCK 63465 Serial Cable Black Transparent 1.8m USB Type-A DB-9
This USB 2.0 to serial adapter cable by DeLOCK (model 63465) provides a USB Type-A to DB-9 connection supporting RS-422 and RS-485 interfaces. With a 1.8 m length and available in black or transparent finish, the cable enables reliable serial communication between computers and devices such as measuring instruments, POS systems, printers, modems and IoT equipment. The cable includes a terminal block suitable for solderless cable connections and can optionally supply 5 V to external devices via the terminal block.
The DeLOCK 63465 offers plug-and-play USB 2.0 connectivity to legacy serial interfaces RS-422 and RS-485, a 1.8 m length for flexible placement, and a terminal block that supports installation in PC housings and solderless connections. The option to feed 5 V to external devices via the terminal block simplifies powering small peripherals without separate adapters.
Connect the USB Type-A plug to a computer or host with a USB port and attach the DB-9/terminal block end to the target device using the appropriate RS-422 or RS-485 wiring. If the device requires power and supports 5 V supply via the terminal block, enable or connect the 5 V line according to the device wiring instructions. Install any required drivers on the host system if not automatically provided by the operating system, then configure the serial port settings (baud rate, parity, stop bits) to match the connected device.
Use shielded cable routing and proper grounding when connecting industrial equipment to reduce noise on RS-422/RS-485 lines. Verify device wiring and serial settings before powering external devices from the terminal block to avoid incorrect voltage connections.
