USB cable DELOCK 63983 — single-pack connection cable for USB devices
DELOCK 63983 is a single-pack USB cable designed to connect USB-compatible devices for data transfer and/or power delivery. The product family also includes a compact USB 2.0 Type-C to UART TTL converter variant that provides a 6-pin header with TX, RX, CTS and RTS lines and a separate 5 V output, enabling direct serial communication between a host computer and embedded devices that use 3.3 V logic.
The adapter supports USB 2.0 over a Type-C connector and exposes standard UART control signals for hardware flow control, ensuring reliable serial data exchange. A dedicated 5 V power output allows supplying target boards or sensors directly from the converter while the TX/RX signals operate at 3.3 V TTL to match common microcontroller voltage domains. Its compact form factor and a soldered 6-pin header simplify connection and integration into development setups and test rigs.
Connect the converter to a host computer using a USB Type-C cable, then wire the target device to the 6-pin header matching TX to RX and RX to TX, and connect ground. If hardware flow control is required, connect CTS and RTS accordingly. Use the 5 V output to power external modules if their voltage and current requirements are compatible. Install any necessary drivers on the host computer so the converter enumerates as a serial COM port, then open a terminal or programming tool at the correct baud rate and communication settings for your device.
Verify the target device’s voltage tolerance before applying the 5 V output and ensure a common ground for reliable communication. If the target uses a different logic level, use an appropriate level shifter to prevent damage. For stable data transfer, confirm correct TX/RX wiring and enable hardware flow control in your terminal or firmware tool when CTS/RTS are used.
